The Worse Christmas Gift Ever Recieved

The worse Christmas gift ever I got was. It started one year ago. It was at my cousins house. I didn't ask for anything but some people still got me some sort of gift. I got a $50 gift card GameStop. I loved the gift a lot and my cousins were happy that I liked it. After the gift opening we ate and spoke. When it was like 11:45 or something we left home. I wanted to sleep but first I wanted to check if the card wasn't fake or anything. I checked the back of the card and it said something like "Expired 12/25/14" I was so mad I asked my cousins for a new one. They said sure we'll give you a new one. I sure did got a new one but it was for $5. I couldn't do anything with $5 except tip the workers, which I wasn't going to do.

I chose this quote because when you were a kid you were forced to do what people tell you. And you hated it. You wanted to be free and do what ever you want. But once your an adult you get to choose your choices to be successful and happy. This quote related to me because, when I was younger every adult told me what to do. But once you get older you make choices to be successful and not make the choice.

Zebra Forest Tones

I enjoyed the book Zebra Forest by Adina Rishe Gewirtz because. This book contains many genres that makes this book good. It's fiction, mystery and suspense. It's fiction because in the book it talks a lot about the zebra forest. It's mystery because when Annie and Rew gets a special visit from her father that helps them captive in their own house. They're confused because he goes in their house, and doesn't hurt that them or anything. Later in the book they realize that Andrew Snow was saying things that gran use to say. Anne and Rew start to realize that Andrew Snow is their father. It's suspense because when gran gets sick Rew, Anne and Andrew are nervous when gran starts bleeding. Page 183 from Zebra Forest "Get towels," Andrew Snow said. "Quickly." Without a word. I turned and ran upstairs. Rew followed, we carried down arm loads of old bath towels. I tried to hand to Rew, so drenched he was dripping, but he barley noticed me. Andrew Snow had laid Grab on the couch in the front room. He had a dish towel in his hand, and he was gently wiping blood from her face, I stopped short when I saw that. Gran's eyes were shut tight, and a long ugly gash ran from her forehead to her cheek. Andrew snow turned and saw us, reaches for towels and quickly and wrapped Gran in them, rubbing her body to warm her. Beneath the towel he pulled away her wet things. "Get me something, a robe or nightgown," he said.

About Me

About me. I'm Nathan, I like to read books about mystery because I like suspense or plot change. Also fiction because I like the author to use imagination to make the book good. I also like science fiction because I like how there are characters that the author made up with their own special char characterisics. Books I don't like to read are. Non fiction because the books are going to be filled with facts and probably not going to be interesting. I will only read non fiction books if it's a journal from someone's perspective. I like the play backyard basketball. I usually play with my brothers. We play 1v1v1, horse and around the world. Our backyard is pretty big but where the basketball rim is fairly small and it's like a quarter of a court. I like to play video games. I usually play Black Ops 3, GTA V, 2k16 and sometimes some older games. 

Ending of The Eye of Minds

The ending was nice but what really upset me was Michael was a tangent. A tangent basically means someone who was created by a computer and lives inside the VirtNet. So all this time Michael was a computer program. It's weird, why did Michael die when he got stabbed in the Devils of Destruction? My thoughts are, he was programmed to have human emotions, can feel psychical strength and damage. I expected the ending to be maybe Michael was a spy for Kaine and he was trying to figure out if the VirtNet will try to attack him or try to find him. My question is, how did he come out of the VirtNet and come into the real world? He's a program designed by the VirtNet. It's strange because near the beginning of the story he says he spends most of his time in the VirtNet and less time in the real world. The book didn't introduce the word "tangent" yet so I just inferred that he was having fun in the VirtNet. But once I figured out what tangent meant, I knew he was some kind of robot or computer program. 

Thoughts on The Eye of Minds

My thoughts on this book is. I think if it takes this long to fine Kaine shouldn't they get weapons to fight some monsters or people along the way? Michael only has one knife and that will not help for all 3 of them. Another thing, Kaine should know that there coming for him, maybe he should send some bodyguards to deal with them so they don't cause damage to him or to any more body guards? What I think they should have done is. They should have stayed in the Devils of Destruction and try to pick off an enemy from behind and take their weapon. That can atleast give everyone a weapon.

Goals of 2015-2016 school year

TThe goals for 2015-2016 school year is. I really want to try to get all my homework done before walking in the building. I want to get use to doing homework because if I don't get use it, later when I get a job and I don't do my work I can get fired and not make money. Second goal. I want to bring my materials to school and home. I really have a bad memory when bringing stuff to another area. I got to use passes to get them, I got to sign a falcon foul because I'm not prepared. If I can achieve this goals I can probably make to high school with a good chance. Another goal is that I want try to read as much as I can during the weekends. I usually have the most free time on Fridays, Saturdays. Sunday's is the day when I do homework and read. So I can't read during Friday and Saturday. When I'm doing stuff I forget about reading and I usually remember late at night. I hope I can achieve most of these goals and be successful during the school year.

Thoughts on The Eye of Minds

What I think about the Eye of Minds is. It's really good but Kaine the hacker is really that good at hacking? The VirtNet should be able to stop him or use their millions of dollars to find him. Unless he is one the richness kids in the world and no on can find him. My second thought is when they go to Devils of Destruction and their guns don't work. Why would they get guns, grenades and they won't work? Do they have to make their weapons? There surrounded by snow, caves, blood and people. They should be able to get different kinds of weapons once they kill more people. Last thought, if Kaine  realizes that he will get found soon by those three kids, then he should send bodyguards when they get close to find him.

My narrative

My Narrative 

It's all started in 2003 when my parents told me and sister "kids, we are saving up for a road trip. We need both of you to find as much money you can find and put it in the crayon bank for one year". So me and my sister started gathering dimes, quarters and nickels and putting it into the crayon bank. One year passed. I'm 3 years old, my sister is 2 years old and my newborn brother Daniel just came out a couple weeks ago. Now we got to pack up everything. We got to the airport at around 8:30. We had to wait 2 hours before the plane was ready to go. We all took naps to by the time. When the announcer said something like plane to Florida will be in the air in 15min. So we started to get up and go to the plane. We finally arrived at the plane, we took our seats. My dad sat with Daniel, my mom sat with my sister and I sat by myself. But I put my stuff on the other seat so no one can seat next to me. The captain came out and said "Hope you brought some blankets and a pillow because this ride is going to be 12 hours long. I didn't know what to do for 12 hours. I had an IPad which can last like 8 hours when on full battery. After using my IPad for 8 hours I put it in my suitcase and fell to sleep.

 When I woke up it was day time and I can feel the heat from outside because some people open their windows. When we arrived we went to the hotel and dropped out our stuff. I hoped that the hotel was nice looking and not smelly and stuff everywhere. After 30min we got to the hotel. The outside looks nice and has lots of detail put into it. But the inside looked a lot better. It smelled nice, everything was clean and lots of detail was put into the decorations. While my parents was signing in I was just looking at all the decorations. After like 5min I got bored. I wondered off and I found the pool. The pool was huge and it had a hot tub! I couldn't wait til the end of the day til I get to go in. After signing in we were going to our room. I couldn't wait to see it. When we got in I was disappointed. There was only one bed! It could only fit 2 people. Where would the other 3 people sleep? That's the only bad thing about the room. After we got settled into the room we got changed and showered and ready for day one of the trip.  Our parents got everything planned now we just got to go to the attractions. First attraction we're going to is the Buzz 

LightYear Space Attack. That attraction is basically using a fake gun attached to the cart that your cart and you need to shoot the aliens that appear in the walls. When the aliens are shot they will blink red to show that they are killed. I went with my dad and brother. My mom went with my sister. The ride is total of 5min long. After that ride we decided to go to another park because we were right next to park. We were going to Animal Kingdom. The first thing we did was go to eat. The airplane food wasn't so good and the snacks we packed for the car trip wasn't that filling. We went to eat at some Italian/seafood restaurant. After we were done eating we were lucky to catch the parade. Our parents didn't know that there was a parade so we watched it for a while. After tired of walking we went back to the hotel and rested for the night. 

Day 2. It's day 2 of the trip and we waked early to go eat at Chef Mickey. We had to walk for about 30min to get to the train. When we got to the train the announcer said "Arriving at destination in 3 min. After getting Buckled up I saw the outside of Florida. The was so much stuff to do and might not get to it. In a blink of an eye the train went super fast and I can see everyone and everything in super speed. We stopped and got off the train to go eat. There was the restaurant. Our parents gave the man our reservation and we got it in. There was a sign that said "Buffet eat as much as you can!" We were trying to find a table but couldn't find one. After a min of searching we finally found one. We grab plates, forks and spoons and went to the food. I got bacon pizza which looked good. I also grabbed some scrambled eggs with powered sugar on it, which looked so good. For my drink I got chocolate milk. I was surprised that there wasn't any special drinks like the food ones. After done eating we went to go watch a play. When we we're done eating we went to go see a play. We were walking to the the building and my mom turned around to Evelyn "Sweety you read." Mom turned to dad "We lost Eyelyn!" Dad cried "How did we lose her?" We all went to look and no sign of her. After minutes of searching we found her by Mickey Mouse who was taking pictures. My mom grabbed her and we went to the movies. The play was about all the Disney characters talking and flying around with a wire attached to their back. After the play we decided to go eat at a seafood restaurant. I couldn't remember the name but it was a huge cruise ship with a lobster on the side of it. We of course the had reservations and we served in 2 min. My mom got pasta with chicken and spicy sauce. My sister got chicken tenders. My little brother didn't eat but my mom brought  baby food for him. My dad got a lobster tail. And I got tilapia with dirty rice. After we were done eating we went back to the hotel. 

We all just watched tv and ate some snacks. Day 3. Our parents told us about what we are doing today. Our parents woke us up. "Kids, today will be our last day for our trip. For breakfast we will be eating at Chef Mickey'. For lunch we are still deciding. Afternoon will the fun happens. We will ride a rollercoaster that goes backwards. The other ride we will go on is Tower of Terror. That one is to end the day. We are going to the tower of terror first. It's basically a ride that brings you down quick and up quick. It felt like I was jumping out of a airplane high above the sky. I also felt like jumping down from a airplane but reversed it was terrifying. Everyone went on except my sister. She was so scared so my mom didn't go on so she can stay with her. The ride wasn't very scary but it made our stomach's feel weird. After the tower of terror we went on Mt. Everest. The line was huge but we must go on before we go. No one wanted to go on except me and my mom. I was scared and my mom. Finally after waiting we got on. At first it wasn't scary but when it dropped down that scared me and my mom. There was lots of twist and turns. After like twenty seconds of the ride we came to an end. There was no tracks so we went backwards!! After that it was a repeat. We went to the photo booth to get our picture. They got my mom closing her eyes it was so funny I couldn't wait to show dad, Eyelyn and Daniel. Well that was end of the trip. We did everything we could. We all got nothing to do. We were just walking around the park. So my mom turned around and told me "Hey Nathan how was your day"? I replied with "I had a great time and I can't wait to come back. After that everyone told that they liked and disliked. I couldn't remember all of it but I know we got to know each other a lot better. I can't wait to come back in like 3 years. I will be saving up.

Police in HMS By Nathan

  In Heritage Middle School police officers come sometimes for a visit. Police officers come in classrooms, the gymnasium and also goes to the lunch room and sometimes makes announcements. Police officers make announcements about joining police practice. It's basically a program where kids practice being police officers, sorta. They won't have a firearm and a taser. It's funny how the police officers are so nice with kids but with criminals there so mean. 

Last time a police officer came to HMS was about a week ago. And when they made that announcement was in the middle of last year. They might make it again but there not so sure. Not a lot of kids joined. Also police officers might in the building because of fights. 

Many fights were occurring last year in the bathroom and police officers came to visit. This year not a lot of fights occurs, that's why only like 2 police officers come every month or so. The first to come to hms was officer was officer Stilo. Well she was nice but also very very loud when people don't listen to her. The next officer to come to hms was  officer Daley. He was funny and very friendly. He's not loud all the time but he will get mad when people don't follow his directions. Overall most people like Officer Daley. 

Last year police officers came into the health room and taught us about being friendly citizens. The officer basically told us to say hi or good morning to people. It brightens up their day by a lot. Also he said if you see a elderly woman with lots of stuff that she can't carry. Brighten up her day and help her with her Groceries. This year they might come in again and teach 8th grade about CPR. The police men last year brought in fake babies to practice on. The last time we might see them is if there's shooting in building. 

Road Rash Thoughts

My thoughts on Road Rash so far is. I like how Zach say's "Her over there"? "Yes her, sitting in the far right table" "Oh she's hot but I got girlfriend, see ya" I like how he calls a girl hot and just leaves. So Marsia can just tell his girlfriend that he checked out my friend and called her hot. She can make their relationship end. My prediction for the next couple chapters is. I think Zach will join a good band with a great singer and good band players. And after lots of gigs they might get noticed and get a record deal. And they can make tons of money if their fans love them. I got one question for Zach's dad. He says its summer and he should get a job. I think Zach should keep playing with his band because he enjoys playing with them. If his dad keeps pressuring him for working at some low paying job, he won't be able to play with his band and he will probably get kicked out.

My Yummy Tostadas

My mom makes lots of Mexican food but my favorite is her tostadas. There very good when she uses all the right ingredients. She uses tostadas, guacamole, beans, cheese, solancho, chicken and her special spice that makes it taste even better. First she cuts all the chicken in little pieces and puts it in the oven. Next she grabs four bowls for the next step. She gets the avacodo and opens it up with a knife. Next she takes out the hard thing in the middle with the knife. Lastly she uses the spoon to scoop up the the avacodos and puts it in the bowl. When there in the bowl she uses a fork and smashes them until it's guacamole. She also a puts salt in it to make it taste better. Next she cooks the beans. Once the beans are cooked she uses a fork to smash them. The smash beans with be on the tostada to hold everything. Next she grinds the cheese with the cheese shreader to give the tostadas have more flavor. Lastly her sprinkles solancho on on top of everything. The best part is when she serves the food.

Blog number 2

I think the theme of The Outsiders is the class of conflict. The greasers are a poorer class of people and the Socs is a rich class of people. In the beginning of the book it introduces the Socs and how they want to hurt Ponyboy and his brothers and buddies.

Another theme is when the Socs came and insulted Ponyboy they said Hey, grease," one said in an over-friendly voice.  "We're gonna do you a favor, greaser.  We're gonna cut all that long greasy hair off" that's in page 5. They use the word "greaser" to insult them. But Ponyboy doesn't care, he knows he is a greaser. They target Ponyboy because he is the youngest and his social class. I think the theme is people who not be judged on how they look or how much money they have. They should be judged by their personality. 

Blog Number 1

What I think about the outsiders is. I still think Johnny should get punished. He killed someone
So That's probably death. But he saved two kids. If Johnny survives he should do community service. When Pony boy and Darry go to the movies they should bring a group or a gun. The Socs is probably going to plan to jump the greasers when there are only two of them watching a movie or something. So I don't think Ponyboy should go to the movies with someone. They should go in a group of they don't someone might get injured or killed even.
